8 Things You Understood Totally Wrong About Biharis

Ours is a big country. And we have got a lot of people here. 17.5% of all humans on the planet live here. It’s no joke. There are dozens of languages, hundreds of dialects and countless sane-insane customs woven around some common string of cultural values, religious beliefs and history. Differences are bound to be there. But, some generalizations are so much in bad taste that they need to be dissected well and at regular intervals. The fact is that Biharis are among the most misunderstoodpeople in India. This post is a humble attempt tocut apart some lame generalizations about the people who come from Bihar, once the most prosperous and culturally-philosophically-spiritually rich area in the Indian sub-continent.Ironically, even those who never met a single Bihari assume them to be law breakers, narrow-minded, and ill-mannered people. They are decreed to be the Jacks-of-all-ills prevailing in North India, theripples of which they wrongly believe and tirelessly retell others on social media are spreading to the entire nation.A moment of silence for all these fellow-Indians who could not see beyond the misinformed and plain-wrong generalizations!A genuine Bihari is hard working and diligent. He or she is eager to improve the quality of his or her life. They move outin search of opportunities; they do so when their state fails to provide them any or when they just want to go elsewhere. Everyone does that.Highly deep rooted to their land, they carry their simplicity wherever they go.Here’s what many Indians have understood totally wrong about Biharis:

1. “Biharis Are Not Good Orators”;
No, They Are, and Far Better Than Bickering Wimps Who Settle Arguments at Gun PointEven the most regular people inBihar will always have their pants pulled up for a debate, and this does not mean they will prove their arguments at gun point. They are exquisitely expressive and carry more knowledge of the world than you can think of. They are practical and speak logic when they open their mouths.Sometimes, their arguments are quizzical and over-the-top intelligent so much so they may leave you open mouthed, but too has many plus points to it. Say, you want to marry a Bihari,in this case you don’t have to worry when it comes to convincing your parents; the task will be tackled smoothly, without being loud and without a knock down.

2. “Biharis just cannot move beyond their accent”;
it’s called Linguistic Wealth, people. And “Bihari” For that Matter is No Language At All.The Biharis speak six different languages which include Maithili, Bhojpuri, Magadhi, Bajjika, Santhali and Angika. Two of these languages have already been recognized as national languages – Bhojpori and Santhali.Punjabis carry their culture and accent and values everywhere they go. Marathis, Gujjus and others do the same. Why shouldn’t a Bihari do it, people?

3. “They always loop Bhojpuri Songs”;  No, they like Bhojpuri songs but they listen to other music too.Ok, Bhojpuri songs may be the most fun thing a Bihari can laugh about with friends.BUT, at the same time, becauseBiharis are highly cultured people, they hold rich taste in music. They have keen interest in Urdu shayri and also like lyrical songs. Bihari listen to sadsongs, happy songs, instrumentals, bhangra, classical and everything else. Just like everyone else. And they are great romantics too.A Bihari can enjoy as much of Bollywood and Hollywood as any other Indian. Youngsters in Bihar also like rock and metal and fancy all genres of music.Just as Punjabis’ taste in music can range from Chamkeela andHoney Singh to Harbhajan Mann and Tamilians’ taste in music can range from Classical to Bollywood and rock, Biharis too have diverse preferences. So, let’s not judge Biharis, okay?

4. “Biharis don’t have any manners”;  well, they still Bow on TheirFeet Instead Of Saying NamasteMany in Maharashtra and otherparts of the country may have proclaimed that Biharis and other people from north India are a ‘drama’ and ‘show of arrogance,’ but the truth is that Biharis still top the list of most cultured people in India. In times, when most youngstersare not willing to bow their heads or touch the feet of elders in greeting, a Bihari will never shy away from showing his reverence and respect for elders, be it in their homes or out in the public. If you have got a Bihari in your friend-circle, you’d know!

5. “Biharis are unfashionable”; they just like Dressing up TraditionallyThey say Biharis don’t have a sense of fashion. But what exactly defines peoples’ sense of fashion? The ridiculous standards of what-looks-good or what’s-cool-nowadays can make even the most elegantly dressed boy or girl be tagged assecond-rate.Most Biharis like to dress simple and are more comfortable with traditional attire, which is why we see them Dhoti clad with a simple kurta. Women are mostly seen in sarees and some of them wear exceptionally rick silks. What we may not find them honing, is weird hairstyles; they will never agree to wear an EMO look. They shy away from wearing red pants or golden t-shirts, but that’s perfectly theirindividual choice, and has nothing to do with fashion.

6. “Biharis steal all white collar jobs”;
well, they just toil harder than those who complain about itNo one really knows if they are jealous of Biharis, or despise them for their achievements. Bihari folks are the most hardworking community in the country. They are good studentsand indeed secure a good number of seats in most top ranking institutes of the country. When it comes to jobs also, most white collar jobs go to Biharis, they are IAS toppers, get through to IITs and IIMs, and all of this is possible because they patiently toil through years, sometimes even by dropping out. They get placed in the best MNC’s and government corporations, and in every respect, they deserve to hold the positions where the country sees them. We cannot despise them of debauchery as an excuse of our own laziness. We are all for the principle of merit-comes-first, right?

7. “Biharis are law breakers”;  they are nobigger law breakers aseveryone else in IndiaAnyone who gets a chance at breaking laws in India grabs it at the first go, why be partial to Biharis?  They cannot be brandished as law breakers in ascenario when all communities of India do the same.So many of us skip red lights in the absence of vigilance cameras or traffic police! We wouldn’t wear seat belts if we were not fined. We bribe when there is a chance to get away with our vices, so why blame Bihar or Biharis?Leaving aside the opinion of anti-Bihari people in some Indian states, ask anyone in Karnataka and Beguluru, and they will always praise the Biharis as the most hard working and intelligent community, and highly adaptable to new environments, they would never break laws.

8. “Biharis are perpetrators of violence”;

on the contrary, they are more oppressed by violenceThe debate about who’s the oppressor and who’s the oppressed can go on forever. But, history brings to light that Biharis have been subjected to racism since Independence.Today, their plight is even more difficult with some not-so-informed fellow countrymen in many states rebuking their presence. It is easy to hurt a Bihari in Mumbai and taint theirsocial presence to the extent that some people living in the national Capital consider ‘Bihari’ to be a ‘Gaali.’ Pathetic. Many of them residing in the cities are ashamed of owing up their roots for the fear of being dejected by peers. And these very people forget about all they got from the supposed oppressors. They forget that Ashoka-Chakra on the National Flag, comes from the great Warrior King from Bihar, Ashoka. They forget that Bihar was home to prestigious institutes such as the Nalanda University.Even if you do not know the history, you shouldn’t AT LEAST forget that Bihar is a state in theIndian Union and that Biharis are regular people like other Indians. Biharis have a right to be themselves. They have a right to be different, just as everyone else.

This is what makes ours a beautiful country! We need all the colors.

5 Reasons Why you don't have a girlfriend

Having a girlfriend or boyfriend is a norm which one has to go through as you reach your teenage years. You see those lovely Bollywood and Hollywood movies with proms where all you need is an arm candyboy friend or girlfriend to get noticed. But wait; here we are talking about infatuations and just so called puppy love which fades as quick as the rainbow, ending the beauty and the Disneyworld ride. But real relationship is beyond the proms and college fests and involves true commitment. So why is that you are not having a girlfriendinspiteof having all the qualities of Bollywood heroes which these movies depict. May be you can check out the reasons here.

1. You are pretentious

A BMW car, an American express card, an Armani shirt may win you glances in a party or a function but not hearts. Your character is what truly matters for women and the highlight here is commitment, loyalty. In a nutshell you have to be more than your second skin and not just tall darkand handsome with a fat wallet.

2. You want only sex

For women sex is emotional. Follow this principle and you will find your way to her heart and her v*****. If sex is your only intention then please stay away as womencan smell it very easily. For women, love comes first and then sex and if your principle is in the reverse order you would struggle to be in a long term relationship.

3. You want something better

If you think you are always better than your date then you know the reason why you don't have a girlfriend. If you are looking for someone better than others then you will never end your search. Your girlfriend can also feel the same and she will soon leave you to find better options.

4. You think about only yourself

Relationship is thinking and caring about others, at least that's what girls think so. Soif only "I" comes to your mind then forget getting a "we" back. If only your job, health, movies, outings are the only things that exist then you very well know why youdon't get the true commitment.

5. You are a dog

And finally, don't expect to have a girlfriend if you are a dog. In simple words if you are sleeping around with every girl you meet, a true girl friend is not in your kitty. It may be easy to win many hearts in less time but to sustain one heartbeat forlong,is quite a task. Only a man who is man enough can do that!!

These things should be kept in mind during jee main examinations.

As we know, JEE is the toughest entrance test in India. But how many of you know the tricks to mark correct answers for MCQs in JEE Main and JEE Advanced? I know a few.

In JEE, all questions are objective. The Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) has four answers, out of which sometimes only one and at times two options are correct. Students need to circle the correct option for every question and earn marks.

It is usually seen that candidates consider objective questions easy as compared to subjective. Despite of the wide spread liking towards MCQs and IIT JEE paper pattern, multiple choice questions could be difficult to tackle. At times, the choices may appear similar and therefore you might get confused. In order to answer the questions correctly, students need to have deeper insight of every topic in the syllabus. Students can use the below mentioned tricks for both online and offline exams:

Be Calm Candidates should make sure they are stress free and calm before writing IIT JEE test. Since, due to tension you may lose concentration and might mark a wrong answer.

Understand the question Identify the important part of the question and apply your logic. Understand what the question is before marking the answer. Tick the answer only when you are sure. Choosing correct answer is really important, since every wrong answer might result in deduction of marks (due to negative marking in the exam).

Example: From a tower of height H, a particle is thrown vertically upwards with a speed u, then the time taken by the particle to hit the ground, is ‘n’ times taken by it to reach the highest point of its path.

(IIT-JEE Mains 2014)

(a) 2gH=n u (b) gH = (n-2) u

(c) 2gH =nu (n-2) (d) gH = (n-2)u

Immediately, identity the topic and apply concept related to it (Projectile motion in this case). Make the diagrams for better understanding to make sure you land up to the right answer choice.

Check the Dimensions This technique is very handy in Physics paper, where we can filter options by looking at their dimension. Let’s say, we are to find the speed, then we can safely filter out options whose dimension does not equals m/sec. Believe me, it will save a lot of your time.

Example: A highly rigid cubical block A of small mass M and side L is fixed rigidly onto another cubical block B of the same dimensions and of low modulus of rigidity  such that the lower face of A completely covers the upper face of B. The lower face of B is rigidly held on a horizontal surface. A small force F is applied perpendicular to one of the side faces of A. After the force is withdrawn, block A executes a small oscillation. The time period of oscillation is: (IIT JEE 1992)

(a)2π ML (b) 2π M/L

(c) 2π ML/ (d) 2π M/L

Sol: Dimensional formula of  = [MLT^-2]/ [L] [L] = [ML^-1 T^-2]

Now check for the dimension of Time period in each option. Let us take the first option. The final dimensional formula of that answer comes to be [MT^-1].

Option (b) comes out to be [ML^-1 T^-1]

Option (c) comes out to be [LT]

Now check option (d). It’s [M]/[] [L]

= [M]/ [ML^-1 T^-2] [L] = [T]

Don’t be in hurry during JEE Giving the right answer is very crucial in IIT JEE therefore mark the answer carefully. Don’t guess the answer too soon! Take some time to think and make necessary calculations. Stop and read the question and options carefully.

Method of Assumption This is another important method. In some of the questions, some unknown quantities will be given. Here, we assign some values to these quantities without changing the conditions given. This is almost similar to the method of substitution.

Example: If a(n) denotes the nth term in an Arithmetic Progression. Then

1/a(1)a(2) +1/a(2)a(3) + ………………………………+1/a(n-1)a(n)=

(a) n-1/a (1) a (n) (b) n/a(1)a(n+1)

(c)n-2/a(1)a(n-1) (d) n/a(1)a(n)

Sol: Take a simple AP=1, 2, 3, 4…..let us take n=3.

Therefore our questions comes to be:1/1*2 +1/2*3 =4/6 =2/3= n-1/a(1)a(n).

Hence the correct option is (a).

Choose technically correct option and Generalize Questions It is often seen that people tend to ignore options like ‘all of the above’ and ‘none of the above’ thinking such options are never correct. In reality, these options tend to be right more often. Also, don’t jump into any option abruptly.

Questions like ax+by+cz= k, can we solved by using general values like a=1, b=1, c=1 to see if it solves our purpose.

Do a little guess work Even though guess work is not always the best practice, it might work at times. If you are not sure of an answer, make a guess! Delete some options which you think are in correct and try to relate the leftovers with the questions to check what answer you get. Remember, guess work is not always beneficial. So try to avoid it!

Example: When a rubber-band is stretched by a distance x, it exerts a restoring force of magnitude F = ax + bx where a and b are constants. The work done in stretching the unstretched rubber-band by L is:

(a) aL + bL (b) (aL + bL ) / 2

(c) aL / 2 + bL / 3 (d) aL / 4 + bL / 6

As we can observe from the question that a and b are with different powers of x and hence there the answer is most unlikely to have same coefficients. Hence options a and b can be eliminated and even with a little amount of knowledge, we can chose among c and d.

Don’t change your answer Avoid changing your answers frequently. Generally, first answer is always correct. Regularly changing the answer might prove wrong at the end. This also leads to confusion. Therefore, stick to one answer regularly.

Reverse engineering Reverse engineering, taking step backward. Instead of solving complete equation, we just apply value in the equation to see if it solves it.

Example: The straight line (2+α)X + (1+ α)Y=5+ α , for different values of α passes through the fixed point

(a) (2,9) (b) (2, -9)

(c ) (-2,-9) (d ) (-2, -9)

Move on Despite of so many attempts, if you are not getting the right answer, switch to the next question. Sticking to just one question will waste your time. Solve other questions and return to this one once you have done all the rest. You can spend the remaining few minutes in solving this question. Later on once you have done filtering, dimension check, you can apply law of probability (as per option 1) and choose one option. Remember, probability is now on your side.

Discard highest and lowest outliers Outliers mean choices having extreme values. If your test paper has any question which have answers in numerical values, discard the extremes. In 60% cases, the highest and lowest values are not right. So, be very careful while choosing the answer. They have high probability of being wrong. So candidates can safely stay away from this unfamiliar zone.

Example: Let A, B, C be three sets of complex number as defined below

A = {z: Imz ≥ 1} , B={z:|z – 2 –i| = 3} , C = {z: Re ((I – j) z) = }. The number of element in the set A ∩ B ∩ C is

(a) 0 (b) 1

(c) 2 (d) ∞

Here the answer is 1. This is not generalized rule but again applicable at many places.

Choose one among the two options If you have already checked out two incorrect answers, choose one out of the remaining options. You can use the first point to select the correct answer.

Attempt the ‘no-negative marking’ questions At times, there are questions like ‘match the following’ in the IIT JEE test. These questions don’t carry negative marking therefore you are free to take chance. You should never leave such questions un-attempted. You should read and know the marking scheme correctly to attempt every question and earn marks. Usually exams marking pattern is +4 for each correct answers and -1 for each negative. And, assuming all options have an equal probability of being correct, student can at the leave have a minimum score of 0.25*n out of n questions (0.25 n *4 – 0.75n*1) by choosing only 1 option. In case, there is no negative marking, you can score 1*n. Hence, never leave any question unanswered if there is no negative marking.

If we go via topics, we can summarize the following:

Memorize easiest topics to et good marks

1) Algebra can be made easier if you have the ability to picture functions as graphs and are good at applying vertical and horizontal origin shifts carefully as zeroes of functions and other specific values can be done in much less time using these techniques.

2) Differential calculus again relates well to roots of equations, especially if you use the Rolle’s and Lagrange’s theorems.

3) Complex numbers is very important chapter for JEE. It can be used to solve questions in co-ordinate geometry too. Trigonometric questions require applications of De Moivre’s theorem. Every year, two to three problems (of purely complex number) are asked. Hence mastering complex numbers, vectors, 3-D and Definite integral must be on top priority.

4) Permutation-Combination and Probability is another very important topic in algebra. You need to be thorough with the basics of Bayes’ theorem, derangements and various ways of distribution, taking care of cases where objects are identical and when they are not.

5) Matrices can be related to equations, hence a 3×3 matrix can actually be visualised as being three-planed in 3D geometry. Determinants have some very nice properties, for instance, the ability to break them into two using a common summand from a row/column, which should be made use of in tougher questions.

6) Integral calculus can be simplified using tricks and keeping in mind some basic varieties of integrable functions. Remembering the properties and applying them wisely saves lot of time.

7) Coordinate geometry requires a good working knowledge of the parametric forms of various conic sections and an ability to convert the other, tougher ones to these basic forms and then interpret the solutions accordingly.

Finally the only one way to do well in Mathematics is to practice problems keeping in mind the pattern of questions in the previous years’ JEE papers. Conceptual clarity, application skills and awareness to the prescribed syllabus should be the main focus. Practice the most relevant numerical daily to develop speed. Pay special attention to the topics like Mole concept, Chemical Equilibrium and Electrochemistry.

8) Take a careful and patient approach for Organic Chemistry giving particular attention to the topics like Stereochemistry, GOC (General Organic Chemistry) and Functional Group Analysis.

9) In Inorganic chemistry, most of the questions which are asked are really conceptual, concerned with structures, processes and applications and are very direct.

10) Special attention is a must for the topics like Chemical Bonding and Coordination Chemistry.

11) Mechanics is one topic in Physics that is considered less scoring by most experts. However to add to the dilemma, this is also the topic that forms the major portion of the JEE (Advanced) in terms of marks. So this topic cannot be neglected.

12) Modern Physics with its atoms, nuclei and radiations are some of the topics, which cannot be ignored during IIT JEE Test. In fact, these topics will help you earn about 20-25 marks in the exam. Also, it requires not more than a couple of days to understand this topic. So, memorize easiest topics to score well in the test.

13) Kinematics and Particle dynamics are very important topics of Mechanics that make regular appearance in the JEE papers.

14) Thermodynamics is important from the terms of both Physics and Chemistry so concentrate on that as well.

15) One must also try to concentrate on other scoring topics to ensure a better performance, for example Optics, Electricity and Magnetism, etc.

Note: It is wise to cover Wave Optics first in ‘Optics’ topic'. The reason is that the portion is smaller compared to Ray Optics and thus, quick to cover.

OTHER KEY GENERAL POINTS

Stay focused and maintain a positive attitude. Develop speed. Refer to reputed mock-test series to build a winning exam temperament. Solve the past year’s IIT-JEE papers. Focus on your weak areas and improve upon your concepts. Practice of JEE level questions is necessary as it improves your reasoning and analytical ability. Remember it is quality of time spent and not the quantity alone that matters. Take short breaks of five to 10 minutes every one to two hours of serious study. It is important to relax. Practice meditation to develop inner calm, poise, confidence and power of concentration. Don’t overstress yourself. Five to six hours of sleep every night is a must, especially three to four days before the main exam to keep you physically and mentally fit. While short naps may help to regain freshness, avoid over-sleeping during the day.

If you find the paper tough, don’t be nervous. It is the relative performance that counts. So put your best analytical mind to work, and believe in your preparation. Good luck!

How to gain weight

Author : Dinesh
Facebook Twitter@rjdineshkumar

Hardgainers aren't the only ones who
struggle to add muscle to their frames. If
you lift and eat for growth but it doesn't
seem to make a difference, here's your
new roadmap to mass!
Want more size? You're definitely not the only
one! Many of us want more mass. Successfully
putting it on, though, is where things get
difficult. Skinny so-called "hardgainers" aren't
the only people who struggle to add muscle to
their frames.
Lots of people—including women—lift and eat
their hearts out without seeing their
measurements reflect it as much as they'd like.
It may feel like you're cursed, but something
more tangible and fixable is always to blame.
Arm yourself with the right information, and
finally feel your clothes straining from dem
gain.

1 KNOW YOUR NUTRIENT
TIMING
Supplying your body with an abundance of
calories when you're just lying around on the
couch does you no good. Fuelling your
workouts with good nutrition, on the other
hand, is paramount to your success.
"Your insulin sensitivity is at its peak first
thing in the morning and immediately after
your workout," explains Tobias Young ,
Optimum Nutrition-sponsored athlete. "For
me, eating more carbs early in the morning
and after my workouts has brought optimal
results."
We still have a lot to learn about nutrient
timing, so it's hard to give a universal
prescription. Recognize that everybody is
different, but also grant the possibility that
when you eat can have a major effect on your
body composition in addition to what and how
much you eat.

2 TRAIN YOUR WEAKNESSES

Hate doing squats? Maybe that's a sign that
you should make them your highest training
priority! Training your weaknesses can make
huge differences in your physique.
"The mass game is all about creating an
illusion of beast-like proportions," explains
fitness model and Bodybuilding.com
contributor Noah Siegel . "To win the game, it's
important to hit your weak points and turn
them into features that stand out in the
crowd."
Siegel says he always starts a workout by
fatiguing the muscle groups he feels are
weakest, and then progresses into his stronger
muscles from there. This way, he trains to his
fullest capacity.

3 EAT CARBS

When it comes to building quality mass,
quality food is the key. A good portion of that
quality food should come in the form of
carbohydrates. "Great carb sources that are
inexpensive include potatoes, brown rice,
oatmeal, and pasta," explains Young.
Fruits are also excellent sources of carbs
because of their antioxidant content and
overall nutrient content. Don't feel guilty
eating them!
Most experts agree that muscles need carbs in
order to grow. If you've been trying to bulk up
with a "low-carb" diet, maybe it's time to
switch your game plan.

4 TRY A MASS GAINER

SUPPLEMENT
One tried-and-true approach for gaining
appreciable size is supplementing with a weight
gainer. Weight gainer protein supplements
usually contain more than 500 calories per
serving and include lots of carbs, protein, and
even some fat to help you gain size.
It's important, however, to know your body
type so you can select a weight gainer that's
right for you and your goals. " Serious Mass is
awesome for hardgainers and Pro Complex
Gainer is a superb choice for mesomorphs,"
recommends Tobias.
Mass gaining may not seem like an exact
science, but maybe that's why you haven't
been successful. Use the right tool for the job
and see what happens!

5 GET LOTS OF SLEEP

Recovery is one of the most underrated
elements of gaining quality lean muscle mass.
If you aren't sleeping enough at night, you rob
your body of the primary time it uses to repair
muscle damage so you can hit the gym feeling
stronger than you did before.
Actors bulking for major film roles are often
ordered by their trainers to sleep at least 10
hours per night! That may not be an option for
you, but start prioritizing sleep more, and it's
highly likely you see great gains in both
strength and size. A fatigued body will never be
a strong one.

6 KEEP FATS IN THE PICTURE

Some people also shun dietary fat when they
bulk because they're afraid eating fat will make
them fatter. This just isn't the case. People
who are building muscle need fat to reach
their necessary calorie-intake levels.
SATURATED FAT HELPS KEEP TESTOSTERONE
LEVELS IN A HEALTHIER RANGE SO YOU CAN
ADD QUALITY MUSCLE.
Saturated fat helps keep testosterone levels in
a healthier range so you can add quality
muscle. Aim to get 15-20 percent of your fat
calories from saturated fats and the rest from
unsaturated and omega varieties.

7 LOVE THE PROCESS
Steve Cook feels that taking the time to stop
and simply enjoy the process has helped him
make the most of his fitness journey.
The IFBB men's physique pro explains, "When
running a marathon you wouldn't focus on the
finish line. You'd focus on what's immediately
ahead of you. Focus on doing everything you
are capable of in the now, and the future will
take care of itself."
There's no need to rush. Know that muscle-
building takes a lot of time, and it's your long-
term passion that will ultimately see it
through. Be patient and have fun!

8 TRAIN WITH INTENSITY

Think back to the last time you did a workout.
Did you really give it your all?
Many people hit the gym and just go through
the motions. They may spend more time taking
selfies, texting, or finding the right music than
actually lifting. You can't expect great results if
you half-ass your workout.
The next time you have a date with the iron,
dial it in and focus. Feel your muscles
squeezing at the top of each rep. Extra focus
can increase your intensity and mean the
difference between mediocre and superior
results.

9 ADD VARIETY

It's important to add variety to your routine.
If you continue to do the same things over and
over again, your body can prepare itself for
the workouts and you won't get as much out of
your training. To keep your body guessing, add
even small changes to the movements in your
workout.
For instance, do a wide-grip lat pull-down one
session and a reverse-grip pull-down the next
time. Play around with different lunge
variations or even different push-up hand
positions. Little changes can quickly add up
and contribute to faster results.

10 DON'T EAT THE SAME FOOD
EVERY DAY

If your diet consists of chicken and rice,
chicken and rice, and chicken and rice, you
need to change it up. If you eat the exact same
meals day-in and day-out, you run the risk of
not only diet boredom, but actual nutritional
deficiency.
While you may hit your macronutrient targets
for proteins, carbs, and fats, don't forget
about all the micronutrients your body needs.
They play critical roles in building muscle,
energizing your body, repairing broken down
tissue, and keeping your immune system
strong.
IF YOU EAT THE EXACT SAME MEALS DAY-IN
AND DAY-OUT, YOU RUN THE RISK OF NOT
ONLY DIET BOREDOM, BUT ACTUAL
NUTRITIONAL DEFICIENCY.
If you rely on the same six or seven foods
daily—even if they are healthy foods, you're
still not likely to get all the nutrition you need.
Add some new foods to the mix, and both your
taste buds and your body will thank you.

11 TRACK YOUR PROGRESS
Tracking everything you do in the gym takes
time, but it has a big payoff. You might
remember what you did for your last workout,
but what did you do last month? If you don't
keep track of changes over time, how will you
spot trends in your progress, learn which
programs produce the best results, or discover
how your body reacts to new stimuli?
By keeping a workout log, you'll be able to
track your history in the gym. That's an
important aspect when it comes to choosing
new workout regimens, assessing strengths and
weaknesses, and determining your future
goals.

12 DON'T WEIGH YOURSELF
DAILY:
If you're the perfectionist type who has big
expectations, you might spend too much time
worrying about what the scale says.
Remember it's normal and natural for your
weight to vary slightly from day to day, so
don't freak out if you step on the scale and
don't love what you see.
Pay attention to the long-term trends in your
body. Those day-to-day variations are small
potatoes compared to the changes you'll see
over weeks or months.

13.  NEVER STOP LEARNING

Your quest for mass should also be a quest for
knowledge. From new nutrition protocols to
new supplement information and workout
techniques, there's always something to learn.
The most successful individuals constantly
strive to better themselves in both mind and
body.
Take the time to do research, read, and learn
about your goals. The more you know about
them, the more prepared you'll be for
setbacks, and the more likely you'll find
